Roofing
We install a wide variety of roofing products.  Below you will see different styles of roofing materials and the installation methods that we use.

Materials

Asphalt:

3 Tab vs. Architectural Shingles 3 Tab asphalt shingles, although inexpensive, are no longer the king of the hill.

Architectural asphalt shingles have taken over the market as the #1 style of residential roofing.

Cedar:

Cedar ShakesCedar Shake roofs' protection against hail is superior to that of asphalt shingles.  The Cedar Shake & Shingle Bureau provides helpful information about the product, including manufacturing and grading standards.

Metal:

Metal RoofingMetal roofing is the most durable roof that can be put on a home.  Homeowners can utilize the Energy Tax Credit to ease the burden of paying high energy bills.

Metal Tile RoofingMetal Tile roofing also qualifies for the Energy Tax Credit.  Roof tiles simulate the look of some great ancient architecture.  Greece and Rome are believed to be where roof tiles originated.  They quickly gained popularity around the rest of the world and stand strong as a premier roofing product.

Synthetic:

DaVinci Slate

Synthetic roofing is a new innovation that imitates natural shakes and slate while offering a virtually maintenance free roofing product with a 50 year warranty.

Flat / EPDM:

Flat RoofFlat roofs are typical roofs on commercial buildings.  Standard materials are 45 or 60 mil EPDM (ethylene propylene diene Monomer (M-class) rubber) or TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin).

Installation

Ice & Water ShieldIce & Water Shield is possibly the greatest solution to a problem in the roofing industry.  The purpose is to prevent ice from sticking to the roof deck and rotting it.  Ice dams are a sign that your roof has no Ice & Water Shield.  No matter if it's a mansion or a doghouse, we install Ice & Water Shield according to or exceeding current building codes.

Kickout FlashingAnother item that has saved thousands of homes from rot is the Kickout Flashing.  The Kickout Flashing is installed at the bottom of every roof slope that meets a wall.  It diverts water away from the wall and prevents it from getting behind the siding and rotting the wall.  Kickout Flashings are required by building code and we install them on almost every job.

No Kickout FlashingRot! Oh No!
Here is an example of a roof that had no kickout flashing.  When the siding was taken off, the rot was revealed.

Kickout Flashing FixedSimple Solution
The rotted sheathing is replaced and an aluminum flashing is installed on the wall before we seal it up with house wrap and tape.  Add a kickout flashing and the wall will never rot again!
